HSP Pakistani Partners Present at AMEXBIO SIBB Conference
HSP was proud to sponsor two Pakistani partners to attend AMEXBIO's 15th International Symposium on Biosafety and Biosecurity (SIBB) at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, in Monterrey, Mexico, from June 22 to 25, August 2023. HSP consultant Dr. Shamsul Afrin Qasmi and former Health Security Futures Fellow Mr. Faizan Ahmad both had posters accepted to this prestigious conference. Dr. Qasmi presented his poster titled "Empowering Pakistani's Healthcare System: Developing Mobile BSL 2 Labs to Bolster Diagnostic Facilities and Address Public Health Challenges." Mr. Ahmad presented his poster titled "Empowering Tomorrow's Scientists: Biosafety and Biosecurity Initiative for Youth." Both posters discussed innovative approaches that could be used to improve diagnostic capabilities and tackle pressing public health issues through education and awareness raising about biosafety and biosecurity. sets the stage for a generation of informed and conscientious leaders.
